Get ready for golf season!

Great news for 2018! No increase in dues for the 2018 golf season. However, the board has changed the due date for dues from April 1 to January 1. What we are asking is for you to have your dues paid prior to your first round of golf, whenever that may be. If this creates a hardship, please feel free to contact either Tom or Jesse in the pro shop.

River’s Bend has also been working on a deal with Shoshone (Big Creek) golf course in Kellogg Idaho, to eliminate green fees for all members (in good standing) from River’s Bend Golf Club. It looks like this plan will go into effect for the 2018 golf season.

To better communicate with our members, please fill out the enclosed renewal form completely and return by mail or e-mail. This helps us to keep you updated throughout the year about special events, tournaments, league information, and pro shop specials. We also regularly update our website, www.riversbendgolf.net, and our Facebook page with news and information.

In the last four years, due to the increase in club dues along with help of many people donating time, effort and money, we have been able to make the following needed improvements:

• New Variable Frequency Drive (old drive burned out) for the water system pump.

• We were able to pay off two existing cart loans and acquire a new loan for 8 new golf carts.

• Improve and level the parking lot by using recycled asphalt.

• Creation of a sand trap on the left side of No. 9 green.

• The addition of new spruce, fir and maple trees on No. 3 fairway.

• Additional waterlines and hydrants alongside left side of No. 1fairway, No. 3 fairway, No. 7 and 9 fairways, and new lines for all the new tee boxes.

• Purchase of a core picker, greens mower and a used spreader.

• New tee boxes on No. 4, No. 7, No. 8 and a secondary tee box on No. 8.

We have been able to keep up with the course and clubhouse daily maintenance by increasing public green fees and cart fees. We’re also making efforts to increase inventory of pro shop supplies and logo-wear. Please consider supporting your club by purchasing these items from us before looking elsewhere.
